Probiotic Review

Super Probiotics for Candida Yeast

I thought a probiotic review for probiotics for candida would be helpful since most probiotics won't establish new colonies and only work while you take them. I and others have had good success with these probiotics below. There are others out there but I have not had any positive reports on their effectiveness for treating candida yeast.

The doses you need to take for any probiotic to be effective have to be very large, in the 50 to 500 billion range. Very few probiotics have this large of a dose. Most are in the 1 billion to 10 billion per capsule range. As a probiotic for candida, these low dose products are absolutely worthless and its like going to a forest fire with a squirt gun. The candida kills these low dose products really quickly so they are not able to do much good. There may be some improvement, but it doesn't last very long. So all of these probiotics below are high dose.

Lactobasillis GG Probiotics Review

One of the strongest lactobasillis probiotics for candida that I have ever seen is Lactobasillis GG. LGG contains 30 Billion bacteria per capsule and I recommend a minimum 3 capsules a day, 1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon, and 1 at night. You might want to double the dose after one week as well. This can also be used a vaginal suppository for vaginal yeast infections or bacterial vaginosis.

LGG has been scientifically proven to survive antibiotic attack. This is a godsend for every human on the planet that will ever have to take an antibiotic again for any reason, especially women. It is much easier to prevent candida than it is to get rid of it.

LGG does not have to be refrigerated so it won't grow molds in the body. Just the idea that you would have to refrigerate a probiotic suggests it will spoil, and when things spoil, they get moldy. Molds kill bacteria and antibiotics are made from molds.

There are many studies that have been done on LGG and the yeastinfectionadvisor.com website has a very good write up with these studies on LGG if you care to read it.

Ultimate Flora Critical Care Probiotic Review

Ultimate Flora Critical Care contains 50 billion live culture, consisting of 30 billion Bifidobacteria, 19 billion Lactobacillus and 1 billion Lactococcus consisting of 10 different species. This profile of bacteria follows whats found in the intestine closer than most others.

Contrary to popular belief, acidophilus is not the most dominate species in the body, bifidobacteriums are. Candida yeast has also been found to be able to grow right along side the acidophilus bacterias, where as bifidobacteriums actually force it out.

We have had very good luck with this probiotic, especially with children and older adults.

Species include 25 billion Bifidobacterium bifidum.

10 billion Lactobacillus acidophilus

4.5 billion Lactobacillus rhamnosus

2.5 billion Bifidobacterium breve

2.5 billion Bifidobacterium longum

2.5 billion Lactobacillus casei

1.5 billion Lactobacillus plantarum

1 billion Lactobacillus lactis

250 million Lactobacillus bulgaricus

250 million Lactobacillus salivarus

As you can see this is a very well rounded probiotic and we have had good success with it.

Custom Probiotics

CP-1 is one of my favorites and we have had very good success with it. I set up an extra page to review it more completely. Yes it looks funny cause I sell it, but I do this because I was asked to by my clients. It saves them a little money on shipping and I am able to pass along a discount on 2 bottle or more orders.

Other Probiotics Review

There are other large dose probiotics out there like Natren, very expensive. Udos Choice, etc. But I have not had much success or very good feedback from them so I have not included a probiotic review. You are of course welcome to try them, your the doctor.

I do suggest with all probiotics that you take colostrum with it. Colostrum lines the intestine and allows the bacteria to attach when you are a baby. For this reason you should try to reproduce that environment so hopefully some of this bacteria lives longer than 2 weeks. I prefer Symbiotics Colostrum Plus Pineapple or Cherry. These two colostrum products are very high dose and they also kills candida yeast.

I hope you found this probiotic review helpful. Any questions please feel free to contact me.
